Easter Bunny Egg Cosy (Free Crochet Pattern)

Today I have for you a free crochet pattern for a bunny egg cosy. These cute cosies are quick and easy to make using small amounts of leftover yarn, so why not hook up a few as last minute decorations or gifts for Easter. I first learnt to crochet as a girl and then picked it up again about ten years ago, but this is my first ever crochet pattern. I hope that the pattern is easy to follow, but please let me know if you have any problems with it. The pattern is suitable for beginners who are familiar with working in the round and uses only chain stitch, double crochet and slip stitch. I have used a magic circle (ring) to start the rounds in order to avoid having a small hole in the top of the cosy. If you are not familiar with this technique then take a look at this excellent video tutorial by June Gilbank (www.planetjune.com). If you prefer not to use a magic circle (ring), then instead you could work 2 chain stitches and work the first round of stitches into the first chain.

Happy Easter!
